So that is how we ended up back in Bowling Green, on the campus of Western Kentucky University, for Elizabeth and Ben’s engagement session in October It has been wonderful to reconnect with Elizabeth, and get to know Ben! They are absolutely perfect together. They are both teachers in Bowling Green, and Ben also coaches football for the Bowling Green High School Purples (who are playing for the 5A State Championship on Saturday! Go Purples!). They are so sweet together, with Ben’s quiet personality balancing out Liz’s on the go, flurry-of-activity self We are so excited for their Louisville, KY wedding in June!

Onto some favorites!

We started out on WKU’s campus, where Elizabeth and Ben met! Of course we had to make a stop at the famous “Kissing Bridge”!

Reasons I love my job: Elizabeth’s email after they saw their images, saying no image ever has come so close to capturing their souls and the root of their relationship as this one. I’m so glad they felt comfortable enough with us for us to be able to capture this image for them!

Next we headed to the BGHS football stadium! Grape soda, in honor of the Purples!

Their wedding date Ok, maybe a little cheesy, but still fun!

True story: Guys tend to be a little more tense during photo shoots than their ladies. But once we got a football in Ben’s hands, it’s like he was right at home! So fun (*Edited to add: Ok, so the football is in Liz’s hands here, but they threw back and forth for a bit haha)

Congratulations again, Elizabeth & Ben! We are so happy for you both, and can’t wait for your wedding! And good luck at the big game, Coach!

Misty and Matt are so incredibly sweet together. I’ve known Misty since we were freshmen in college, but hadn’t really had the chance to get to know Matt until recently. All I can say is that these two definitely have that special kind of love…that we-can-handle-anything kind of love. It was so beautiful to see the real “them” come out in front of the camera today….especially Misty, who has told me before she has a hard time not making her “model” faces for the camera. I feel so blessed that they have allowed us to see inside their relationship, and celebrate along with them. We can’t wait for their wedding in July!

Normally I would just post one or two for a sneak peek, but I made an executive decision (because I can! Ha!) that since today was a snow day and I’m mostly caught up on other work to edit more and post more than normal Enjoy!

Uh huh. You know it’s a good day when something like this happens in the first 5 minutes of the shoot!

HAD to post this one because of the location This is the inside of the very newly renovated Van Meter theatre on WKU’s campus. It’s not officially open yet and I didn’t think we would be able to get in, but someone on the construction crew let us in. It is amazingly gorgeous in there!!

We started off at the Arboretum, where Paul+Sara could often be found on a date, relaxing!

Paul LOVES airplanes, so we arranged to surprise him and take him out to the airport and take a few pictures with the T-6 some of our friends own. His face was priceless when he saw it coming down the taxi way!

So peaceful. This spot was just down the road from Sara’s grandmother’s house, and one of the spots she really wanted to try for a picture. I was so happy with how it turned out!

And last but not least, my favorite! I love the colors and the bright yellow of the National Corvette Museum in the background!

So for todaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyss favorites……

First we have Dori and Matt. Dori and Matt are so incredibly sweet and we had the coolest weather for their session! Literally and figuratively haha. It was pretty stinkin’ cold, but the sky was so cool! And we got to shoot at Talon Winery…one of my favorite places!

Next we have Mandy and Matt! Mandy and Matt are both school teachers (which means they have way more patience than I will ever have! haha) and I am so so excited for their wedding later this year! They also brought along their puppy (whose name escapes me at the moment!) for their session which was so fun! I love it when couples brainstorm with me with how to personalize their sessions

And last for today is Emily and Chris! This was probably one of the most fun sessions I’ve had haha. Emily and Chris are two of my husband and I’s closest friends and they are just a ridiculous amount of fun! They were totally up for anything I asked them to do, and didn’t look at me like I was TOO crazy haha. Their wedding in June is going to be so much fun!

Ok. So today, I finally got to take Emily and Chris’s engagement pictures! Emily and I have both been ridiculously excited about this for awhile now haha. And, Emily is my most faithful blog commenter, so she deserves a massive blog post of her very own!

Emily and Chris are two of my closest friends. They are so wonderful and fun to be around! Their love is so apparent in everything they do, whether cuddling or teasing each other haha. I don’t even know what else to say about how wonderful they are. Emily and Chris, June will be here before you know it, and I can not wait! We’re so happy for you guys!
