Spending time with my BFF, Sara (well, my bff after Chris of course )

So getting to do both of those in one day? Awesome, of course! It was a rainy, yucky day, but we had a great time anyway! I couldn’t wait to share these two shots of Sara and her husband Paul–so, so sweet. I’m so thankful we were able to spend time with them today!

This was the first newborn session I had ever shot, and I am so thankful to Brittney and Chris for letting us capture this special time in their lives. I’m sure they are now mostly adjusted to having a nearly mobile baby on their hands, and that looking back on these will seem like nearly a lifetime away Brittney and Eyan made it through Chris being gone for bootcamp and a move to Mississippi to rejoin dad when he was assigned to his tech school. They are such an amazing and inspiring family, and a blessing in my life! They truly lead by example, and are such great parents.

So, here’s a dose of squishy cuteness for this dreary, rainy day!

‘Twas the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The sun was out, there was a chill in the air, with a promise of football later in the afternoon. And I was thankful to spend time with this lovely family:

Alright, so you can’t look at that picture and tell me that’s not just about the cutest little three year old you’ve ever seen A few weeks ago, I was so excited to do some updated family photos for the Porter family at Centennial Park in Nashville! We had such a great time, and they are so adorable. Not to mention, great style! (I love when families choose to dress to match their personalities instead of all matching outfits…so much better!)

I love taking a relaxed approach to family photos and really capturing relationships and personalities. I am so thankful that the Porters came down to see us for their family photos!

Onto the fun:

This is seriously one of my all time favorite images. I absolutely, 100% love everything about it! Mom and dad are so sweet, and Houston’s face is just perfect!

Normally, this isn’t a shot I would take. Too many cars in the background. But seriously, how cute is he?! Love it

We have one more wedding this year, with Katie and Aaron in Georgetown, Ky, and then we get to kick off 2010 with Michelle and Pedro in New Albany, IN on January 1! Merry Christmas, everyone!

First I wanted to share a few images from our mini-session day in Lexington! We had an absolutely incredible day out at Ashland, the Henry Clay Estate. The weather was perfect!

First up…my adorable parents! <3 them!!! I was super excited when my mom told me she wanted me to take some “real” pictures of them

Next we have Lauren, and the most adorable puppy ever, Dante! Lauren and I worked at Aldersgate Camp together a few years ago, and she is so sweet and so fun! She is now a nurse in Lexington. It made me so happy to see her again and hear about how she has made her dreams come true in the last few years

And finally, we have these three super fun kids! I absolutely LOVE this image…favorite of the season! This is Sam, Sarah, and Seth. I’ve known Sam and Sarah since they were born, which is so crazy to think about. Oh the babysitting stories I could tell….;-)

And that is all for today! Our Nashville mini session day had to be cancelled due to several extenuating circumstances, but we are hoping to reschedule some time in January. So keep an eye out for more info on that if you are interested!

These girls are so fun! Emily is a vocal music ed major with Chris at WKU, and is just the sweetest person you will ever meet! I don’t know Katie very well, but from the time we spent in our session, she is super fun

Next, we had the fabulous Paige and Jason and their adorable poodle, Fenway

Are you kidding me with that cuteness? They are just as elegant in jeans as they were in wedding dress and tux LOVE them!
