Remember Lindsay and Gerrit? Well, there are soon to be three in their household! Love love love seeing our couple’s families grow. I know I also said the same thing during Paige and Jason’s post, and I’ll probably say it again after I blog tomorrow’s session with Destiny and Patrick But seriously! Lindsay and Gerrit are currently stationed in England, but Lindsay is home visiting family while Gerrit is on a short deployment. So I was thrilled to get to take some pictures of her and her bump! Just a sneak peek today, but we had a great time, besides dodging the insane storm that rolled through during the middle of our session!

‘Twas the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The sun was out, there was a chill in the air, with a promise of football later in the afternoon. And I was thankful to spend time with this lovely family:

Alright, so you can’t look at that picture and tell me that’s not just about the cutest little three year old you’ve ever seen A few weeks ago, I was so excited to do some updated family photos for the Porter family at Centennial Park in Nashville! We had such a great time, and they are so adorable. Not to mention, great style! (I love when families choose to dress to match their personalities instead of all matching outfits…so much better!)

I love taking a relaxed approach to family photos and really capturing relationships and personalities. I am so thankful that the Porters came down to see us for their family photos!

This is seriously one of my all time favorite images. I absolutely, 100% love everything about it! Mom and dad are so sweet, and Houston’s face is just perfect!

Yesterday, I met Savannah. A beautiful girl with blue eyes and the most gorgeous and contagious smile you will ever see in your life. A beautiful girl with an amazing family and friends. Who just happens to have cancer.

Yesterday, I was doing a shoot for Erin Ashleigh, an up and coming country artist. She told me about Savannah, and how she had arranged for her to come along to the shoot as a fun surprise for her, and if I would mind taking some photos of them together. Of course, I said yes!

Yesterday, I saw how even the most un-imaginable situation cannot stop hope, love, or smiles. Or fun

Today, I am inspired. Inspired to always live life to the fullest, to always love, and to always smile.

Savannah, I am so glad I got to meet you. I don’t know all your story, but you and your family have all our prayers. You rock, sister! Keep wearing those neon colors and flashing those pearly whites I hope I’ll get to see you again soon!
